The next person to replace Doctor Anthony Akoto Osei for the Tafo- Pankrono Constituency keeps on becoming tough as strong calibre of personalities keep on pulling up in the contest.
The latest duo in the contest are two(2) strong doctors; Dr. Louisa Carol Serwaa Donkor and Doctor Emmanuel Kwabena Obeng, CEO of Trinity hospital at Pankrono.
The two(2) who also stand tall in the contest filed their nomination forms on the same day(that’s Tuesday) on different hours where each was accompanied by numerous party supporters and delegates in a grand style.
It could be recalled that GNA earlier reported about Mr. Vincent Ekow Assefua, P.R.O for the ministry of education some days ago, after he had submitted his form in the same constituency.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Doctor Serwaa Donkor who first presented her nomination form at the party office in Tafo around 11am disclosed that her eagerness and thirst for development on the grounds of education, health, security, sanitation sports etc and securing wellbeing for polling station officers plus all constituents drove her move.
She commended Doctor Anthony Akoto Osei for his excellent work though, but vowed to replace him since she is the next befitting replacement.
“I am a courageous and selfless woman endowed with God’s given talent and capabilities in service, which I don’t want to forsake my people with.
“I am much prepared to serve my good people and that’s the only mandate I want from the delegates”, she said with confidence.
Doctor Serwaa also promised to build an educational complex and effective scholarship scheme to boost learning.
Doctor E.K Obeng who also submitted his form around 2:00pm, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency revealed that doctor Akoto’s occupant needs to be a most competent, well dedicated, sacrificial, intelligent, someone who is down to the earth and ever ready to serve the people to bring massive development and pull more votes, and that should be no other person than him since he stood tall amongst the rest in possession of aforementioned qualities.
He outnumbered the list of projects and supports he had given to the constituency which he was still willing to do more for the constituency on the grounds of health, education, security, sanitation, job creation and employment etc. He therefore pleaded with the delegates to vote massively for him since he has good things for them.
He surprised the constituency with a laptop computer and a multipurpose scanning machine, all worthing ¢4,150.
He took the opportunity to advise delegates that despite pleading for their massive votes, they should get themselves united and desist from words that will defame and denigrate other opponents and their supporters since the ultimate goal is for NPP party to win in the 2020 election.
