Unity, Development Is My Major Hub, Give Me Chance To Collapse NDC

Stay Home. Stay Safe. Save Lives.

After a highly anticipated tension that aroused in the Ofinso South Constituency leading to ‘duabo”, one of the strong contenders in the upcoming constituency election, Mr. Desmond Appiah has strongly urged delegates and all party members within the area to as a matter of urgency calm down to allow peace prevail since that’s one of his major dreams for contesting this election.
Vividly himself and his supporters as never a part of the brouhaha that currently took place in the area, Mr. Appiah attributed the problem to camps and factions that are usually created amongst party members within the area of which he dreams to eradicate.
“I say it on records today that none of my supporters and myself were part of the curse invoking issue that occurred in this constituency.
I stand for peace, development and unity and has what it takes to give a huge gap to the threatening NDC in this area”, he saidAccording to him even though Ofinso south constituency is being led by the NPP, the NDC keeps being a threat in the area due to the fact constituents are fed up with the abysmal performance of the sitting MP.People of Ofinso-Adukro community in the Ofinso south district of the Ashanti Region had earlier expressed worries over lack of social amenities in the area, thus calling on authorities to come to their aid, so as to alleviate the suffering of the people.“Despite persistent appeals to opinion leaders and the Assembly on the urgent need to provide basic amenities in our community, nothing has been done to alleviate our plight in the area. We lack portable water and people defecate about any how, causing another problem for the community”, they had said.Speaking to Mr Desmond Appiah on the said development, he expressed worries about the issue and also accused the Member of Parliament (MP) for failing to fulfil promises upon which he was voted.
According to him, the time had come for him to use his experiences acquired over the years to enhance the socio-economic and political development of the constituency and since the backbone of the country is agriculture, he would develop the Ofinso- Abofo Market to enable those areas to produce abundant food and livestock.Mr. Desmond Appiah who lost in the contest last four years appealed to delegates who would attend the party’s congress to elect him as the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the 2020 elections and he’s not going to disappoint them.“I am the best and I promise to lead an agenda to empower the people especially the youth to enable them contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the constituency.
My leadership will represent hope for the future and my vision is to improve the quality of lives of the people”, he said.Source: Nana Peprah Gideon (dnewswall)
