Daily News Wall has no account, advertising, analytics or centralised app server. The app does not upload your profiles or reading activity to us.
What the app accesses
The app connects directly to public RSS and Atom feeds you enable or check, including feed URLs you add. It reads headlines, short descriptions, publication dates and article links so it can show your news wall. It does not download full articles for local storage. When you open an article, your device opens the publisher’s website or browser.
Publishers receive ordinary network request information, such as your IP address. Their own privacy policies and terms apply to their feeds and websites. Some publishers provide feeds over HTTP, which is not encrypted. Use HTTPS feed URLs where available.
Information stored on your device
Daily News Wall stores profiles, selected and custom feed URLs, cached headline details, saved headlines, read and dismissed history, viewing statistics, muted words, filters, appearance preferences and reading position locally. This information makes your choices and reading activity available across app sessions. Search terms used in the current view are processed on your device.
The app uses its private device storage for these records. Android automatic cloud backup is disabled for the app. The app does not send these records to a Daily News Wall server.
Sharing and exported backups
If you choose Share article, your device’s share sheet sends that article’s title and link to the destination you select. If you choose Export backup, the app creates a plain JSON file with profiles, feed settings, saved headlines, reading history, filters and appearance choices. You decide where that file is saved or sent. The temporary headline cache and full articles are not in the backup. The destination you choose may handle the shared information under its own privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you change them or clear Daily News Wall’s storage in Android settings. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local records. You can remove feeds and manage saved, read and dismissed headlines in the app. Exported backup files remain where you placed them until you delete them there. Because Daily News Wall has no user account or centralised server, there is no server-side account data to delete.
Security
The app keeps its own records in app-private device storage and does not operate a backend for your reading data. Public feed requests use the protocol offered by each publisher; HTTP feed requests are unencrypted. Backups are plain JSON, so store them somewhere you trust and share them only with destinations you choose.
